And we have our Champion Team! Congratulations to The District Office Team!
After eight weeks of logging physical activity, The District Office Team has come out on top! Congratulations team, and to everyone else who participated in this summer’s Walking Works challenge!
Check out your new plaque! Which team’s name will be engraved next?!
Final team standings are below:
- District Office: 112.70 mi/per person
- Middle Schools: 101.72 mi/per person
- Elementary Schools: 78.77 mi/per person
- High Schools: 77.87 mi/per person
That’s an overall average of 92.76 miles per person over the eight weeks! That’s about the distance between Key West and Cuba! And The District Office’s average distance, 112 miles per person, is about the distance an Ironman Triathlete bikes and it takes them about six and half hours… and that’s on a fast-moving bike! Now that’s A LOT of walking!
Our last quarterly raffle has been drawn and Maureen Anderson of The High Schools Team is the winner of the new Nike duffle bag! Congratulations and great job keeping up with your logging throughout the challenge, Maureen!
We would also like to congratulate and recognize the Top 3 Steppers of each team:
District Office:
Tim Powell
Liane St. Laurent
Donna Tremblay
Middle Schools:
Karen Ricciardi
Mia Konovelchick
Martha Bernier
Elementary Schools:

Kelly Farragher-Paras
High Schools:

Congratulations, Top Steppers! Your dedication has earned you each a fifteen dollar gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods!
Winning teams and Top Steppers aside, everyone who participated in this summer’s Walking Works challenge and pushed personal limits to be more active is a CHAMPION! The Lawson Group would like to congratulate all participants on their achievements through these eight weeks. We have enjoyed working with Manchester School District through this summer and encourage everyone to keep it up and keep moving!
